Chin Surgery

Chin Enhancement (Mentoplasty) in Arizona

Chin Augmentation or mentoplasty is performed on the chin when it is disproportionate to the rest of the face. Your facial appearance is in part due to the underlying bones or facial skeleton. When the chin is small or recessed or the jawline undefined the facial structure can be augmented with implants. In general, facial implants bring balance and better proportion to the face by increasing projection or better defining your features. Both men and women desire more defined facial features or natural angles that are proportionate and create a natural and attractive appearance.

Chin surgery can beneficial for those bothered by a receding or small chin and also those with asymmetries or congenital defects. Chin implants can increase the size and projection of a chin so that it is more in proportion with the cheeks and forehead. Mentoplasty is also commonly performed to enhance or complement those undergoing other facial contouring procedures such as nasal surgery.
