Eyelid surgery with Oasis Plastic Surgery

Eyelid surgery also known as blepharoplasty improves the appearance of the upper, lower or both eyelids creating a more youthful and rested appearance.  Sometimes, even when you have had a good night’s sleep, your eyes can appear tired and droopy.

If this sounds familiar, you are not alone.  Each year thousands of men and women undergo eyelid surgery, placing it in the top five most commonly performed procedures each year.  Blepharoplasty can be performed alone or in conjunction with other rejuvenation procedures for the face.  Surgery for the eyelids can help improve excess upper eyelid skin and correct bags or protuberant fat under the eyes.

Where do I begin?

A consultation with Dr. Jennifer Geoghegan is the first step to learning more about how eyelid surgery can help you achieve a more youthful and rested appearance.  This consultation is designed to educate you in a non-pressured environment about your options.  This discussion will include:

  • Listening to your goals and receiving an evaluation of your individual case
  • Reviewing the surgical and non-surgical options available
  • Discussing likely outcomes of your procedures and the associated possible risks or complications
  • Receive a customized treatment plan recommended by Dr. Geoghegan

Part of rejuvenation around the eyes can include skin resurfacing techniques.  Lasers such as the Pearl at Dr. Geoghegan’s office can be used to further improve the tone and surface appearance of the skin surrounding the eyes.  In some cases where there is only a crape-like appearance to the skin these resurfacing techniques can be used instead of a lower eyelid incision.  In other cases, Botox can be used to soften the appearance of crow’s feet at the corners of the eyes.  When eyebrows are positioned low and contributing to an aged look of the eyes, a brow lift may be recommended in conjunction with your eyelid surgery.

Schedule your personal consultation with Dr. Jennifer Geoghegan and learn more about Blepharoplasty procedures.
